Gin And The Classic Cocktail Resurgence

One word of warning – I would strenuously avoid drinking any gin whose label at a minimum did not include the word “distilled” or “distillation.” Cheap supermarket gins can skip the whole botanical process and even the juniper berries. They simply buy tankers of commercial grade neutral alcohol and bottles of oils from juniper or other products, and combine them with be no distillation at all, mere assembly.
There are three other important label terms to note when shopping for gin: London Gin, Plymouth Gin, and Holland Gin, all of which are distilled gins. I will examine these in Part 2.
